A Family-run Business
Our family has been part of the textile industry for over 60 years. Our hometown of Hoi An – Viet Nam is famous for tailoring custom suits for international visitors, often within a single day, and much of the time requiring no further alterations.
With experience catering to markets from around the globe we know the latest trends and designs. We hire the best tailors to work with us in our factory, and the most committed team to work in our NZ operations. We also offer a variety of fabric designs at affordable prices and travel around the country to take measurements to ensure the best fit and quality garments for our customers.
Our Story
2013
Launch
Doyle, an accounting graduate of the University of Auckland, launched the family business out of a shed in Albany (just like many Kiwi startups), later moving to a home office; many original clients remember that humble start.
Mid 2014
Wellington Trunk Shows
Due to popular demands, we started our regular trunk shows, to Wellington mid 2014.
End of 2014
Chrsitchurch Trunk Shows
Our regular trunk shows expanded to Christchurch the same year.
2015
Albany Showroom v1.0
With rapid growth, we relocated to Albany’s first commercial shop while welcoming our first child.
2017
Auckland CBD Showroom v1.0
We opened our second showroom in Auckland CBD, along High St, a popular spot for fashion in Auckland.
2021
Auckland CBD Showroom v2.0
COVID posed challenges and opportunities. We relocated to a larger Auckland CBD showroom at the corner of Vulcan Lane and High Street.
Yvonne, with a BCom in Retail from AUT and experience at Ben Sherman, Smith & Caughey’s, and Pascoes, joined the team. Selena (Doyle’s sister) with a BCom in Accountancy from Massey, heads the tailoring operation in Vietnam. Both bring fresh perspectives while the business remains family-owned.
2022
Albany Showroom v2.0
We relocated Albany showroom to our own building on Airborne Road, increasing space for storage and the workshop.
This remains our engine room and head office.
2025
Hamilton Showroom
Thanks to growing interest south of Auckland and across the central North Island, we’re setting up a Hamilton outpost.
It opens in mid-October and will run one day a week from our building to help clients who can’t visit Auckland or Wellington. Advance booking is required.
